Northern Junior Golf Tour – Update 13th May 2020

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have decided to postpone the 2020 Northern Junior Golf Tour. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly but after careful consideration and heeding the advice of the UK Government, Public Health England and England Golf we feel it is the right decision to postpone our Tour this year as we would be unable to offer you the full Northern Junior Golf Tour experience. The safety of our participants, families and volunteers are paramount and with courses re-opening on Wednesday 13th May (under strict playing restrictions) and clubhouses likely to be closed for the majority of the season we don’t want to put you under any unnecessary risk.

We are now in the 11th year of running the Tour and this is the first time we have ever had to postpone any events but I’m sure you will all agree; these are unprecedented times and the health and safety of everyone is far more important. The Northern Junior Golf Tour will be back and so will our beloved game.

So, what happens next?

For the 300 Juniors who have signed up to this year’s Tour you don’t need to do anything as we will be transferring your place over to the 2021 Tour so you have guaranteed entry next year. The venues will be exactly the same as this year with a slight variation on dates (we’re working with the clubs to secure these dates now)

To say thank you for your loyalty we will also be adding an additional venue for 2021 so you will be playing in 6 events next year; at no extra charge. Also, we are extending the age groups for one year only to 6-15 years meaning that those in the final year can play next year too.

All of the dates and venues will be uploaded onto the website as soon as we can arrange these with club’s and we hope that you can join us next year.

For those who don’t want to join us next year then we completely understand and will be happy to give you a full refund so please get in touch via email at info@northernjuniorgolftour.co.uk

We hope you understand our decision and you can join us for what is going to be a huge event in 2021 with other exciting projects in the pipeline. It’s disappointing for us as we love these events and value your support but it’s the right thing to do and we’ll be back bigger and better in 2021.

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
