2022 Tour is now open…

Northern Junior Golf Tour 2022 is officially open…

In 2022, we have two separate Tours that you can enter; The Rookies Tour & The Masters Tour.

Rookies Tour

In association with PING our established 9 Hole Tour is taking place within Cheshire, County Durham, Cumbria, Lancashire, Northumberland & Yorkshire. This Tour is open to boys and girls aged 6-14 years old on the 1st January 2022 and is played across 5 qualifying events within each County. Each player will also receive a FREE PING cap as part of their entry.

Junior Golfers have the opportunity to play in a series of professionally ran events, led by a team of passionate individuals in a fun and friendly environment. Each event uses Live Scoring technology via the Golf Genius app to track the scores, performance and gives a hole-by-hole account within each Division.

Golfers will compete in a series of different divisions based on ability and will play for Order of Merit points.

We will be using the best 4 scores from 5 events to identify the players who will qualify for our Grand Final on Wednesday 31st August 2021 at Ramside Hall Hotel & Golf Club. We’ve changed the qualification process to provide an equitable approach for everyone to qualify for the final and not penalise those who can’t play every event.

Finally, we see this as a real family affair so encourage parents, family and friends to enjoy the day & soak up the scenery at some of the most picturesque golf courses in Northern England.

Masters Tour

The Master’s Tour is our 18-hole Order of Merit for Junior Golfers aged 18 years old and under who have an official WHS Handicap Index.

Players compete across a season-long Order of Merit including 11 qualifying competitions incorporating 4 Major Events held at some of the best Golf Clubs in the region to have an opportunity to qualify for our Grand Final on Wednesday 31st August 2022 at the prestigious Ramside Hall Hotel & Golf Club.

The 4 Major Events are Silloth GC, Dunstanburgh Castle GC, Seaton Carew GC & Preston GC which all carry DOUBLE Order of Merit points. We’ll also have some added extras at each Major so keep an eye out on social media.

The 2022 Order of Merit will be calculated using the best 6 scores out of 11 events.

Players must have a WHS Handicap Index of 28.0 and below (Boys) and 36.0 and below (Girls) at the point of entry to enter the Master’s events.
