Northern Junior Golf Tour 2020

Northern Junior Golf Tour in association with PING®

The Northern Junior Golf Tour is now moving into its 11th year as the leading Junior Tour across the North region.

It was founded by current England Golf Partnership Manager, Jason Budd; to create fun and competitive opportunities for beginner golfers to participate in the game, make new friends and experience different courses around County Durham. Over the last 11 years it’s grown expediently and in 2019 had over 250 juniors participating in the Tour across 4 Counties.

In 2020, the Northern Junior Golf Tour is set for the most exciting year ever as it partners up with golfing giants, PING, as the headline sponsor and also expands into East Yorkshire (East Riding) and Lancashire.

Jason Budd said, “We’re immensely proud to be working in partnership with PING as the headline sponsor for 2020 and look forward to working closely with them to develop our brand delivering an amazing experience for all junior golfers across the North region. PING are the dream partners for the Northern Junior Golf Tour and we’re all excited to getting the 2020 season up and running”.

Dave Fanning, Head of Marketing at PING, said, “PING is extremely proud to be supporting the Northern Junior Golf Tour, as we continue our commitment to fostering opportunities for the next generation of golfers to take up the game. This is why we developed our custom-engineered Prodi G clubs, designed specifically for juniors aged 7 to 13, along with our ‘Get Golf Growing’ programme that offers a one-time, free re-shafting service when they grow out of their set”

The NJGT works by hosting 5 qualifying venues from April to August within each county played over 9 holes giving young golfers a chance to qualify for the Grand Final taking place at Ramside Hall Golf Club on Sunday 30th August 2020. The Tour has 5 playing categories which are:

Says Jason Budd, Tournament Director: “The Northern Junior Golf Tour is an ideal introduction to competitive golf for younger players and we are grateful to our headline sponsor PING, and associate sponsors, Chinny Dipper Golf Clothing, Golf Parc and Adore Golf Grips for the support in 2020”.
