Maggie Whitehead was one of our little superstars in the County Durham Tour and she had this to say about the events.
“I played on the Northern Junior Golf Tour in 2015 when I was 9 years old and played off a 35 handicap! It was the first proper tournament I’d played in and I was really nervous. It was a really great tour and I loved playing at different courses that I hadn’t played before and playing against loads of new people. I was really happy as I won the overall order of merit that year. I’m now 12 and play off 5 and learned so much about tournament golf from the Tour.
This year I’ve been selected for the England U18’s Regional Squad which is really cool! I would definitely recommend the Northern Junior Golf Tour to any boys or girls wanting to try tournament golf for the first time”.
